dynamicWIL

DynamicWIL is a research-led framework developed to embed meaningful, scaffolded Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) experiences into the Digital Media curriculum. Grounded in constructivist and humanistic learning theories, the framework supports students from their first to final semester through flexible, industry-connected activities that build confidence, adaptability, and real-world readiness. With a focus on co-creation, sustainability, and personalised learning, DynamicWIL empowers learners to chart their own professional paths while strengthening partnerships between universities and industry.

To translate these research insights into an engaging learning experience, the DynamicWIL Board Game was created as a metaphorical tool for stakeholders to explore (WIL) challenges and strategies. Players journey across a W-I-L-shaped map filled with obstacles based on real-world (WIL) issues, using item and interaction cards, which were insprired from the research’s findings and recommendations. Designed for cross-disciplinary use, the game offers a playful yet reflective space for educators, students, and industry partners to connect with the research, spark discussion, and co-develop meaningful action plans for their own (WIL) practices.
